Welcome
The HRC Youth Group is designed to help students build an authentic, lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ while creating friendships, memories, and experiences they will carry with them into adulthood. Our mission is to help students Know, Defend, and Share Jesus Christ through biblical teaching, honest conversations, small groups, service opportunities, mission projects, retreats, camps, day trips, games, and plenty of fun. Students do not need to have their faith figured out before joining—we want this to be a place where they can ask difficult questions, explore what they believe, and discover what it means to personally follow Jesus.
Our 6th–9th Grade Pathway focuses on building the spiritual foundation students need to begin taking ownership of their faith. As students progress through these years, we help them understand the Bible, develop their relationship with Jesus, navigate friendships and real-life challenges from a biblical perspective, understand what they believe and why they believe it, and prepare for Confirmation in 9th grade. The goal is not simply for students to know the “right answers,” but for their faith to increasingly become their faith, rather than something they believe only because their parents or church told them to.
Beginning in 10th grade, students enter our Faith & Future Pathway, where spiritual development continues while we intentionally begin preparing them for life after high school. Through personalized one-on-one guidance and group learning, students explore their God-given gifts, strengths, career possibilities, college, trade, military and workforce options, internships and job shadowing, financial literacy, technology and AI, professional skills, leadership, and practical adult-life skills. Each student develops a personalized Faith & Future Blueprint designed to help them graduate with more than a diploma—with a strong foundation in Christ, a better understanding of who God created them to be, and the faith, skills, confidence, and direction to take their next step into adulthood.
